[Travel diary - Paris], 1815 Nov 20 - 1816 Feb 20.

Manuscript, in a single hand, documenting Wraxall's sojourn in Paris. In addition to descriptions of the city and its monuments, he records the "effervescent" political climate of a city ruled by King Louis XVIII, though some its citizens still considered themselves faithful to Napoleon Bonaparte. He mentions the arrests made in connection with the escape of the Bonaparte supporter Count Lavalette and details of other possible plots against the king. The manuscript is the penultimate volume in a set of travel diaries, of which the Osborn Collection has the last two volumes (MS Osborn c27-28).
